We don’t share our stories to gloat or boost egos. We share our stories so future generations will have a solid foundation upon which they can build.
Meet the Host
Kimberly Albritton
Hey Friends,
My first memories of entrepreneurship were of my grandfather, Algen Albritten Sr, traveling the long dusty roads of rural Tarboro, NC tending gardens using a hand plow and his trusty mule, Joe.
In truth, he never thought to incorporate his business. He simply fed his family while using his gift to serve his community.
Unbeknownst to him, the work ethic he demonstrated led me to pursue two things: entrepreneurship and a life of service.
As the owner of a small business and a children’s book author, I’d like to think he’s looking down on me, smiling proudly.
His story deserves to be told. So do countless other African American business owners.
I’m excited to have an opportunity to give context to our relentless perseverance and ingenuity.
